A dentist who is licensed to practice and is not a periodontist may apply as an Associate Member of the Academy. The completed application form accompanied by a payment of dues and any assessments will be submitted online or to the Secretary of the Academy. The Executive Council will review the application and, if the applicant meets the requirements, the application will be approved.
Dues for the membership year January 1-December 31, 2026 are $400.
GRADUATE STUDENT MEMBER
Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st

Canadian students in good standing enrolled in a full-time Canadian university graduate program in the specialty of Periodontics accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada or an accreditation body with which the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada has a reciprocal accreditation agreement are eligible to apply as a Graduate Student Member of the Academy. Graduate Student Members are exempt from payment of membership dues and annual meeting registration fees. We require the date of graduation on the application form. Each year, Graduate Student Members will be asked to "renew" to confirm their contact information and indicate their permission for CAP to contact them with membership-related information. The membership year begins on January 1 and ends on December 31.///Les étudiants canadiens en règle inscrits à temps plein dans un programme d'études supérieures canadien en parodontologie agréé par la Commission d'agrément dentaire du Canada ou par un organisme d'agrément avec lequel la Commission d'agrément dentaire du Canada a conclu un accord d'agrément réciproque peuvent présenter une demande d'adhésion à l'Académie en tant que membres étudiants diplômés. Les membres étudiants diplômés sont exemptés du paiement des cotisations et des frais d'inscription à l'assemblée annuelle. Nous demandons la date d'obtention du diplôme sur le formulaire de demande. Periodontology Dentistry Graduate students may apply for membership to CAP at no charge during their first year of practice. The membership year covers the period January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026. First year of Practice members are asked to return their "0" balance dues statement, to indicate their willingness to be a member as well as to indicate their permission for CAP to contact them with membership-related information.
